A picture is identified as either a drawing or a photograph.  A drawing contains only black and white areas.  Drawings may be some sketches, maps, logos, graphs, and cartoons.  Photographs are original photographs only.  A printed photograph, from a magazine or newspaper, is not a true photograph.  However, it may be identified as a drawing or a photograph by the HP PictureScan software, depending on its individual characteristics.
